Ultrasound Therapy in Knoxville

We strive to bring our practice members the best in care, which is why we’re proud to offer gentle Ultrasound Therapy in addition to chiropractic adjustments. After an initial examination and meeting with Dr. Talley, there may be agreement on the need for this form of care, as it is helpful in treating various musculoskeletal conditions, specifically plantar fasciitis and TMJ (Temporomandibular joint syndrome).

Ultrasound therapy is a non-invasive and safe modality that can speed up your recovery process and reduce inflammation in your muscles and joints. Ultrasounds use high-frequency sound waves emitted from a small wand that is about the size of your cell phone. The sound waves penetrate deep into the tissues of the body and produce a slight warming effect that practice members will feel, leading to relief to the areas that the wand is applied. The relief is almost instantaneous, as many people leave our office feeling better than when they walked in.

It is one of the quickest and easiest modalities offered in the practice-most ultrasound therapy visits last just 2-7 minutes.
